The Construction Specifications Institute would like to introduce and welcome you to the 2009 CSI Honors & Awards Program!

CSI Honors & Awards recognize talent, achievements, and notable contributions to the construction industry that support the mission of CSI. There is much to look forward to this year as CSI continues to expand its awards program.

Although the January submission deadlines are still months away there is every reason to start assembling your nomination packages now. Each week through November, Region and Chapter Awards Chairs and other officers will receive an email highlighting several awards. You are strongly encouraged to find members and colleagues that are qualified candidates for any of the Institute Honors and Awards. Don't forget that there are several awards non-members are eligible for as well including the Michelangelo Award and Honorary Membership.

Here are some key items to get you started:

1. Nomination Deadlines:

January 2: Distinguished & Honorary Membership
January 15: Fellowship and Institute Awards including the Michelangelo Award

2. 2009 Honors & Awards Guide

The 2009 Honors & Awards Guide has been posted at www.csinet.org/honorsandawards. Please download and review the document as there have been some updates from 2008. Also available online are MS Word versions of the guide's submission forms.

3. Fellowship Mentors

Preparing a Fellowship nomination package? Consider consulting with a fellowship mentor. A list of mentors can be found at www.csinet.org/fellowship.
